BAck when PAL made news

There was a time when Philippine Airlines was one of the best airlines in the world, serving award-winning on-board cuisine and the latest in in-flight comfort. Fast forward to the present, PAL remains to be the flag carrier of the Philippines but unfortunately it didn't retain its position as one of the world's best.

I stumbled upon this ads while browsing my late aunt's wide collection of Readers Digest Magazine. These were the 70's and 80's when PAL was among the most advance and innovative in passenger comfort.

What are you lookin' at?!

It's funny that no matter how hard it is catching up with all school lessons I still find it hard to live without reading any 'supplemental' readings. Vanity Fair, in my opinion, is one of those international magazines with a real global appeal. Its articles are well written, far from the corny and obviously ridiculous write-ups of other magazines of its kind.

Cover star Kate Winslet, on the article written about her in this particular issue, provides us with an inspiring act. The articles suggests that she's just like one of us, afraid of the judgments and criticisms of other people.
